The camel in its festival finery is the most Rajasthani of motifs, and we stitch it in our own studio in Alwar. Here it stands beneath a tree in full flower, its saddle-cloth worked in the bright reds, greens and golds of the desert fairs, all in bold flat thread on cream canvas.
