A photograph holds millions of tones. Thread holds a handful. That is why a good embroidered portrait is drawn, not copied: we take your photo and redraw the face as confident, clean line art, keeping the details that make the person recognisable, the hairline, the smile, the glasses, the tilt of a dog's ears. Then we stitch it in thread on cream canvas and frame it.
The result has the character of a drawing and the texture of thread, which is exactly why it feels like a keepsake rather than a photo print. We will not promise a photo-realistic face, and you should be cautious of anyone who does. What we do promise is a preview of the drawing before we begin, so there are no surprises.

Can I have more than one person in the portrait?
Yes. One or two people suit the smaller size; families are better in the larger sizes so every face keeps its detail.
